[The days got lighter as Spring drew nearer. Daylight Savings has begun which meant that the daily run Daniel Corey took began earlier than it did weeks earlier. Day in and day out, Corey ran four miles and the weather was never a factor. Rain, sleet, hail, snow and humidity was never an issue when Corey left to run.]
[Today was a bit different, as he was just days removed from his match against Dusty Griffith on Pure Pro Wrestling's Sunday Night Showdown and as per his promo the week before, he is now being shadowed by C.J. Rowell's newest "project", Pro Wrestling: Summit's Carlos Rodriguez.]
[Rodriguez was with Corey during every turn, stride and stop. He was an equal to Corey and it ate the Team ELITE member's heart up. Corey was not a fan of Rodriguez's, ever seen he saw Carlos talking to his partner, Chris Butler, last month about Butler's interest in doing MMA training.]
[Corey has always stated he has hated the Mixed Martial Arts, even going so far as to say it's "fake". The two got into a shoving match until it was broken up by Rowell himself. Now, Rowell is forcing Corey to keep Carlos company as punishment for his outbursts as of late.]
[Corey took it in stride, seeing Rodriguez as hindering him instead of improving him, so instead of rocking the boat, he was going to use this to his advantage. He is making Rodriguez his errand boy and his muscle.]
"Hey Carlos, get me another soda, kid."
[Corey sat before his thirty-seven inch LCD television, watching and old Saved By The Bell episode. You know, the one where Zack had a scheme to make money that ended up badly. Actually, wasn't that every episode?]
"And make me some nachos, amigo."
[Rodriguez walked into the living room.]
C-Rod: Hey, I'm Puerto Rican not Mexican, asshole.
[Corey chuckled.]
Corey: You weren't born on American soil, so who cares.
[He looks up at the grandfather clock against the far wall, then looked back over at Rodriguez.]
Corey: Make me some chalupas too, bitch.
[Rodriguez sneers at Corey before walking back out to the kitchen.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sean and JD, what's up?"
[Corey stood before a red brick wall in a black and red Team ELITE t-shirt, an unzipped black thermal sweatshirt and blue jeans. He bleached blonde hair stood up from some styling gel and his brown beard was nice and trimmed.
"The time has almost come where the words stop and the action kicks off. I'm psyched, how about you two?"
[Corey stuck with a smile, one that's rarely seen from him. The grin was ear to ear and smelled of ego.]
"In just ten days, Chris and I become the new Openweight Tag Team Champions. We will walk into Toronto with gold in our sights and we'll head into the PPW Pay Per View as the champs. Team ELITE is more than a name we coined one day, it's reality. We are the elite in this business and it is with much pride I lead the team to the promised land."
[Corey's smile slowly disappeared.]
"That's right, I'm the ring leader and have always been. You see, I'm the one who hooked us a deal with Jason Ramsey to join S-Pro. I'm the one who scored the deal with Saunders to join II. Daniel Corey is the man who brokered the contract with Derek Shanahan. I brought C.J. Rowell out of the moth balls and made him a champion again. And I'm the one who'll bring Chris Butler into the limelight when we strike gold once again."
[He stared straight into the camera.]
"I am Team ELITE."
[He looked slightly away as he kept talking.]
"I have single handedly shook the tag team division up in the world. My name and likeness has made people flock to the arenas here in North American and all the way over to the Orient. Hell, if we accepted fruit for tickets, I could sell out any arena on the continent of Africa too."
[Corey faced the camera, but looked down towards his feet.]
"The Sex Symbols, Dusty Griffith, Garrett Bishop, Papes and Lukey Luck have to all realize that the TE brand is the wave of the future. We're revitalizing wrestling for the present and the future. Shanahan and Saunders both now they have struck gold with our contracts."
[Corey stared right back into the camera once more.]
"You will all remember my name. This is my year."
-------------------------------------------------------------------
[Rodriguez brought Daniel Corey a plate of Bagel Bites and a can of Mountain Dew. C-Rod placed them down on the table with a huff.]
"Be easy, Paco. You're gonna shake my soda up and flatten it, son."
[Black.]

I get tired of explaining it...
(The lights come up on a wrestling ring. Inside the ropes, stands Garret Bishop. He is in his short black and silver trunks, he is glistening in sweat and is staring directly into the camera.)
This is not a game to me. Nor is is a game to Dusty Griffith. You see, you need to understand how we were trained, where we come from. Once you can grasp what we're capable of, you'll be able to comprehend the inevitability of our victory. We WILL be the PPW Tag Team Champions.
(Bishop steps forward, putting his hands on the ropes. The muscles in his forearms knot like steel cable.)
Dusty and I not only share a background in amateur wrestling, but we were trained for the pro ranks by one of the most dangerous wrestlers on the planet, in the most incredible training facility on the face of the planet...Tenchu-Do.
(Bishop leans in a bit, looking like a coiled spring.)
Tenchu-Do translated means "the Iron Way". That means more than just the merciless training, it's a philosophy, a way of life. It means following the path of a warrior and a champion. It means victory through knowledge and spirit. It means creating your own reality through the force of physical ability and pure will power.
(The camera slowly focuses on Bishops eyes. The intensity of his gaze speaks volumes. )
Put simply, we win matches, that's what we do, it's all we do. When you see Dusty Griffith and Garret Bishop coming to the ring, you see domination in it's purest form. We are ambassadors of the Iron Way. By the time you see our eyes, it's already to late. We are professional wrestlers and we're the very best at what we do.
(Bishop leans back, a nearly imperceptible smile on his lips.)
Bishop and Griffith are coming, and even that knowledge comes to late for our opponents to do anything about it. Soon, everyone associated with PPW will know exactly what the Iron Way is.
(Bishop steps back into the center of the ring.)
Prepare to witness the definition of controlled violence. It's only days away...
(The fade to black.)

[Loud, obnoxious voice over.]
[SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!]
[Mark your calendars for...]
[March 29th.]
[Because the hottest wrestling in the world...]
[Is going to take over the TARGET CENTER...]
[When Pure Pro Wrestling presents...]
[REDEMPTION!]
[Wars will be waged.]
[Scores will be settled.]
[And Redemption will be one for the ages!]
[End voice over.]
"Redemption."
[There's that old school slow fade comin' at ya.]
"Sounds like a good title to me."
"Appropriate actually."
[Welcome the stone like features of Dusty Griffith.]
[With those eyes glimmering like stainless steel.]
"Y'see, I've put up with quite a bit from you Daniel."
[Snorts.]
[His face permanently contorting a bit into a snarl at the sound of Corey's name.]
"For months you have done one thing and one thing only."
"Be an absolute coward."
[Snorts again, thumbs his nose.]
"You call me a disgrace to everything that Jason Ramsey and Tenchu-Do stands for."
"You have accused me of being everything that I am not and everything that YOU are."
"Which you have only been so happy to prove with every passing night in the Pure Pro ring."
[Heh. He says, but barely audible, yet still very evident.]
"Daniel, you have shamed our mentor, our gym, and everyone who has ever passed through those doors."
[He leans in.]
"And if only you wouldn't run away so damn fast, I'd have the distinct satisfaction of tearing you apart."
[He leans back and a sick grin of teeth bared shows the very subtle taste for murder on Dusty's mind when it comes to Daniel Corey.]
"I'm sure come this Sunday you'll have plenty of grease to keep my hands from wringing your neck."
"But one way or another, I'm going to get my hands on you..."
"Even if that means I have to take something from you that you actually do want."
"The Pure Pro Wrestling Tag Team Titles."
"One way or another."
"You and I are going to collide."
[End.]
