"They don't even know what they're getting themselves into, man."
[Daniel Corey sat on the apron of the plain ring inside the Blockbuster Academy. Dressed in blue Nike shorts, a white sleeveless t-shirt and his black and red leather boots, he looked up at the towering Chris Butler.]
"Griffith, Lightning and Burrell have no clue what they have gotten themselves into, I swear. The time for games has come and gone, big man. No more joking around, calling them by fake names, whatever else I've come to be about lately."
[Butler, dressed in a gray Reebok t-shirt, black plain basketball short and his black leather boots and with his black hair tied back in a ponytail, nodded his head in agreement.]
"Chris, we're a big deal now, man. We're working against the so-called 'best team' in the business today, Dusty Griffith the Iron Crown Heavyweight Champion and teamed with the most decorated WWA Grand Slam Champion of all time in C.J. Rowell. This shit is serious, dude."
[Butler nodded his head once more before walking off. Corey turned and hopped down off the ring apron as another sparring session was about to occur.]
"Griffith, I hope you realize I'm not playing around. My record against you is better than everyone else's out there now. If it weren't for the fact that I respect Jason Ramsey's decision to have me contend for the Iron Crown Junior Heavyweight Title, I'd come after the Heavyweight Title. But in the mean time, I'll let me silent friend take the lead in that division."
[Two young guys started working on their submission holds as C.J. Rowell barked orders from the sideline.]
"Your friend, Johnny Lightning, he's more useless than a paraplegic's dick. He's supposed to be your insurance policy? In the last four weeks, he's done nothing but watch the lights and cry since you two have yet to conquer Team ELITE. Big Chris and I have dominated you two significantly since Day One."
[Corey chuckled as the two kids messed up a figure four, badly messed it up.]
"Demetrius, you better fall back in line. You've playing with fire, dude. I know this isn't your first horse back ride, but you definitely better back off before you Michelle Tanner this shit and end up in a hospital bed."
[Corey laughed as he saw his manager, David Lawrence, come out of the locker room in a pair of plain navy blue tights, knee pads and boots. DL walked over to Corey with a frown on his face.]
DL: Daniel, are you guys sure about this?
[Corey laughed again as he stood up and slaps DL on his back.]
Corey: Just be ready, dude.
[Corey couldn't control his laughter as he walked away.]
DL: How could I be talked into this?
[Black.]

“I went into Showdown with one mission and one mission only, to get answers from my brother in law a man who screwed me out of my shot to be the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. So I decided it would be best to go into his office and get the answers I was looking for, I had all the attentions of doing nothing more then just giving a nice swift punch to the jaw, but lucky for me my wife, who is his sister talked out of knocking him out and just talking like adults. I have to admit god bless Tasha's soul it was probably for the best, I got some answers. I found out that it was something Derek had to do it was in the contract of PPW. Which is cool that's fine I guess you have to do what you have to do from a business stand point I get it, I understand it had to be done. As him being family I still don't get it and I still don't like it. I'll give Derek some slack he had to do what he had to do, but that doesn't make everything alright between us I still have my doubts and I am going to be keeping a close eye on the shit that goes down in PPW. Right now though I have to stay focused on the task at hand cause at Showdown I team up with a man I have a lot of respect for Dusty Griffith and Johnny Lightning and on the opposite side of us will be “Team Elite”, which consists of C.J. Rowell and his butt buddies Daniel Corey and Chris Butler. True watcher of Pure Pro Wrestling get ready for a bloody war. Cause we won't stop until Team Elite tastes their own blood.”
(We open with the “Main Attraction” himself sitting down holding his daughter He leans in and gives her a kiss on the forehead and smiles.)
“I haven't been able to hold you when you are this peaceful in awhile. This is pretty nice.”
(Demetrius looks at his daughter with the glow of a proud father.)
“There are a lot of things going on right now, that could tear our family apart. Your uncle Derek has been a little shady lately and I don't know if I can trust him anymore my angle.”
(Demetrius's daughter just blows a spit bubble that causes Demetrius to laugh and wipe the spit from her mouth.)
“I could sit here and poor my heart out to you for hours, but you really don't understand a thing I am saying to ya.”
(Demetrius shakes his head, as he bounces his daughter up and down in his arms.)
“You have it lucky Ciana no worries in the world right now. All you have to to is eat sleep and crap. That to me is the life. You don't have the doubts and worries of a grown up yet. If you understand anything that I tell you. Understand this growing up isn't all it's cracked up to be. It honestly sucks a lot.”
(Demetrius looks down and his daughter is now sleep, he stands up and walks towards the bedroom. He slowly walks into the room and to his daughter's crib and sets her inside, he covers her up and kisses her on the head and walks out of the room to just to come face to face with his wife Tasha)
“So how did father, daughter time go baby?”
(Demetrius smiles as he takes Tasha's hand and kisses it.)
“It went very well. She was very good for daddy like always.”
(Tasha smiles and gives Demetrius a kiss on the lips.)
“Even though I gave birth to her, I swear you are her favorite person in this whole world Dee.”
(Demetrius simply shakes his head.)
“Nah, that's not true she loves her momma you and I both know that.”
(Demetrius leads Tasha into the living room and the two sit down. Tasha looks into Demetrius's eyes and frowns.)
“What's going through that thick skull of yours hun?”
(Demetrius lets out a chuckle and then frowns.)
“I just have a lot of things running through my head right now, I'm really not sure about a lot of things that are going on right now.”
“What did I do now Dee?”
(Demetrius smiles)
“You didn't do anything babe, your perfect as always. I just still have a sour taste in my mouth about your brother and the way that Rowell won the PPW Title. It's eating me up inside.”
“ I understand that honey. Didn't you get the answers you where looking for when you finally got to talk to my brother at the last PPW show?”
(Tasha says as she rubs free hand over Demetrius's bald head.)
“Yeah kinda, I guess you can say I got some answers he told me that Rowell's contract was something that came with buying the company and that Cooke wanted to hand pick the champion. Which is cool I know your brother is a man of his word, I just wish it wasn't at my expense you know?”
(Tasha nods)
“Yeah baby I understand that completely, but I am sure if it would have came down to that monster J.J. Halme and someone else that the result would have been the same.”
(Demetrius frowns)
“You know I would like to think that, but why in gods name would Halme kick me in the balls to get dq'ed? Honestly babe he had me. I was on dream street, all he had to do was hit his finish or some high impact move and I was done. Instead he lost the match for himself, it just all seems like a huge set up.”
(Tasha nods her head as she can see Demetrius's point.)
“I see your point babe, but I am positive that Derek had to do what he had to do to make the company his, I don't think it was anything personal. It was what had to be done.” “I'm going to try and take your word for it, but if he fucks me over again Tash I swear on our marriage that I am going to knock him out.”
(Tasha nods.)
“I understand totally, but as of right now you need to focus on the fact that you have your chance to get your hands on Rowell and the rest of Team Elite.”
(Demetrius nods)
“I know, and I am extremely happy that I can pay our “Champion” back for what he did. I am really curious to see if he can dish out as much punishment to me when I am at one hundred percent.”
“Not trying to make you angry or anything babe, but you and I both know that C.J. Rowell is good. His track record says it all. So either way, you, Dusty and Johnny will have your work cut out for you.”
(Tasha says trying to make sure that her husband is not under estimating his opponents.)
“I realize that, but babe Dusty wants to get his hands on Daniel Corey really bad and Johnny Lightning is always up for a good fight I am sure. So if I ride on the momentum that my partners are going to be coming into the match with, I don't think I have a damn thing to worry about.”
(Tasha smiles.)
“Just don't want you to be over confident babe, and not only that but I know when you are pissed off you don't exactly think straight. So I am trying to make sure that your all ready to go, more so mentally then physically.”
(Demetrius nods and kisses Tasha on the forehead.)
“Babe, the way I feel I don't think anything or anyone can stop me. Rowell and his band of jackasses are in for a whole fucking world of hurt, and there is nothing any of them can do to stop it.”

Frustration.
It's a word that is very familiar in the life of Dusty Griffith.
The short, yet storied history of this man is known quite well.
So we'll skip the retrospective and dive headlong into the present.
Where the most recent example of Dusty's frustration and it's source.
Namely Team ELITE.
More specifically Daniel Corey.
The little bastard just keeps on keepin' on as they would say.
If he's not talking down to Griffith.
Calling him a disgrace to Ramsey and all he and Tenchu-Do stand for.
Calling him a coward and a disgrace to the sport of wrestling.
If he's not doing all of that.
He's always managing to just slip free from the iron fisted grip of Griffith.
Every single time Griffith is about to finally extract some justice.
It's a pair of brass knuckles.
Or the sudden return of C.J. Rowell.
It's not as simple as it used to be.
As it should be.
Not when the enemy won't face you with honor.
While questioning your own.
Knowing exactly what buttons to punch.
It's definitely not as simple.
This is a new battlefield for Dusty.
He knows he's not untouchable here.
Which makes it all the more frustrating.
He's not the one who is revered.
If not just a little feared.
He's got to get that respect back.
He's got to remind people why he's one of the best.
But first...
He's got his hands on Daniel Corey.
He needs that vindication before he could ever move forward.
