“ Pure Pro Wrestling is now on it's feet. The first show went off pretty well and I have to admit I am really surprised but the thing that got me the most is that my former agent and my brother en law is the owner of PPW. He decided to retire from being an agent for Calib and myself to open his own venture, and as he said change the face of wrestling. I don't know if I should be happy that I am working with Shanny again or if I should be a little pissed that he decided to make such a move when we are family. Either way I know what my next move is. Kaladaro and myself walked away winners at the first show which put us into the Scramble Six match to see who will be crowned the first ever PPW Champion. I have a lot of mixed feelings I am excited and a little nervous at the same time. There is an enemy from my past in this match by the name of Corvus and a lot of other talent. I look forward to facing him again and not only that I look forward to when the ref raises my arm and I walk away the first PPW Champion. “
( We open with Demetrius Burrell and his beautiful wife Natasha sitting in their living room. Demetrius looks at Tasha and lets out a half smile. He gently rubs his forehead then moves closer to Tasha placing leaning back and placing his arm around her.)
“ Babe , I need to ask you something and I want you to be completely honest with me. I don't want any bullshit here.”
( Tasha nods)
“ What's going through that head of yours hun?”
( Demetrius frowns)
“ Did you have any idea that your brother was going to start PPW.”
( Tasha simply shakes her head no and Demetrius frowns.)
“ I'm serious babe. Did you honestly have any idea that he was going to be doing this. I mean this is big and I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't tell anyone espically you or Calib.”
( Tasha clears her throat as she stares Demetrius in the eye.)
“ Babe, honest to god he never told me anything about this. I'm just as shocked as you are, my brother has been my best friend for so long and I am honestly surprised that he didn't me. I'm actually kinda hurt.”
( Demetrius lets out a long sigh.)
“ I just don't get it, he always fills us in when he has .something big going and this time he left us in the fucking dark.
( With that comment Tasha frowns and lets out a sigh as well, she then puts her head on Demetrius's shoulder and nuzzles up to his neck.)
“ Dee your guess is as good as mine, maybe just feels he didn't have to tell you guys every single thing seeing that he is no longer your agent you know.”
“ I suppose but we are still family.”
( Tasha nods then gives Demetrius a gentle kiss on the neck causing him to smile.)
“ I'm pretty sure he has his reason for going about this the way that he did. He is a big boy he knows what he is doing honey.”
“ That's the thing that scares me babe.”
( Tasha looks at Demetrius confused)
“ What do you mean?”
“ I don't know there is just something about Derek running his own company that gives me the willies”
( Demetrius's body suddenly jolts kinda like when you get the cold shivers.)
“ See what I mean?”
( Tasha begins to laugh She then lifts her hand to Demetrius's forehead and pushes it back gently.)
“ Oh, quit it now your being goofy.”
“ No, I'm serious I have a really bad feeling about all of this.”
“ You know baby don't think about it to much. You need to be focusing on the Scramble Six. This is a big chance for you hun, to be the first ever PPW Champion this is really big for you.”
( Tasha says trying to get Demetrius back on track and to put his focus where it should be. Demetrius smiles and nods.)
“ Yeah, I know love but you know once my mind is on something that I can't stop thinking about it.”
( Tasha sits up looking Demetrius in the eye she moves her hand to the top of her wife beater and pulls it down giving Demetrius a nice Cleavage shot. He looks down takes a quick look and then focuses back on his wifes eyes.)
“ Did that snap you into reality”
( Tasha says with a sly grin as Demetrius just shakes his head.)
“ Your nuts you know that?”
( Tasha smiles)
“ I'm just trying to help that's all.”
“ I know, I'm really not to worried once it time to go out there in that right I'll be able to get things done. I mean if I survived tagging with Kaladaro then I have nothing to worry about.” “ I'm glad your confident babe cause that's how you need to be. I don't mean to bring it up but Kaladaro beat you for the Arena title back in AWA and well your old rival Corvus is in the Scramble Six, babe you and I both know that he knows you like the back of his hand. And everyone else in the match is a complete mystery so it's not going to be easy Dee.”
(Demetrius rolls his eyes and then smirks.)
“ I'm fully aware of that babe, but everyone in this match needs to realize that this is my shot to the top again and I will be damned if it is taken from me easily. I have been playing second fiddle for so long I forgot how it feels to be “The” Man in a company.”
( Tasha nods)
“ Your long over due babe the biggest title you've won recently was the Double Crown title and as much as I hate to say it. When you won the title it really didn't mean a damn thing in the Alliance.”
“ That one hurt”
( Demetrius sighs once again and Tasha kisses him on the cheek.)
“ You know what I mean though Dee. Your on your own now it's time for you to do what is best for you and that is perform the way I have seen you do it for as long as we have been together, you have to go out there and make people know who the fuck you are honey. Just look at it like this is the WMW when you really got started and that drive and desire was there you where damn near unbeatable and you can be that way again.”
( Tasha explain with a huge grin on her face.)
“ Sad thing about that is I was in my prime then babe, I had everything going for me. Like you said I had that desire, but being with Team Wallace so long I don't know if I can rely on me,myself and I like used to.”
( Tasha smiles.)
“ I know you can babe, near the end there you started to show that you wanted to be on your own that you wanted to be in the spotlight and now is the time. Everything is going to work out baby and you will become the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. I have faith in your ability.”
( Demetrius leans his head down and kisses Tasha on the forehead.)
“ Well thank you for the vote of confidence babe. It has been a long time since I have been in the spotlight and I will be damned if any of these guys stop me. I have to win this title losing is not an option for me. It's time that the Main Attraction took center stage and showed everyone what he can do.”
“ There you go babe just let the Fury come out in you and you can't be stopped.”
( Demetrius sits there for a moment until he breaks out into laughter.”
“ Ok Tash that was just corny, you know that right”
( At this point Tasha begins to laugh to.)
“ Yeah I know I just thought it was fitting.”
“ Oh Lord.”

[Fade.]
[With Pure Pro Wrestling having its first show in the books it now looks on to the next one on January 4th 2009 where they will crown the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. At the first show The Main Attraction Demetrius Burrell teamed up with The Headliner Chris Kaladaro to take on Team ELITE to see who would be in the scramble six for the PPW Championship. There are five other wrestlers in this match and the crappy part about it is that I only know about one of them that being my partner from the last show Demetrius Burrell. However it doesn’t matter who these guys are because at this point I am not going to let anything stop me of realizing my dream of being a world champion and the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion at that.]
[The scene opens in a hotel room at a hotel just minutes away from where the first Pure Pro Wrestling Sunday Night showdown took place. It is early in the morning and while the blinds in the hotel are still closed it doesn’t stop the sunlight from beaming through. There is one bed in the room and in it are two people one being The Headliner Chris Kaladaro and the other an unknown female. Chris gets up and rubs his eyes he then shakes the woman beside him to tell her to get up after kissing her on the cheek.]
[Kaladaro who is wearing blue jeans and no shirt or socks stumbles over to a desk with a lamp on it he sits in the chair near by while still a bit fuzzy. He then rubs his eyes again before starting to speak.]
Chris Kaladaro: “Alright before we go into this any further you are all probably wondering to yourself who the gorgeous girl in my bed is. Well that’s my girlfriend and her name is Crystal and I have decided after one year to finally bring her on the road with me. For the longest time she has always wanted to come and see me do what I do best and I have never been able to do it because I don’t want her subjected to the crap that goes on in this business. But after her asking me so many times I finally caved and decided to bring her with me. Besides what better match of mine to see first than of me winning the Pure Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship.”
[As Kaladaro gets done talking Crystal starts to stir she then sits up and looks at Kaladaro.]
Crystal: “Baby come back to bed.”
Kaladaro: “I will in a moment Hun.”
[Crystal gets up and exposes her beautiful body she is wearing short shorts and a red bra as she walks into the bathroom and shuts the door.]
Kaladaro: “Now a few weeks ago Pure Pro Wrestling held its first show which showcased three tag team matches where the winners of those matches would go on and face off in a six man scramble match to determine who the first champion of Pure Pro Wrestling would be. I got the luck of the draw and Demetrius Burrell ended up being my partner and I have to say that we worked pretty damn well together despite the fact that we argued the whole damn week leading into the match. We did win though and that was the only thing that I cared about and now in this scramble six match its every man for himself with the winner being crowned the first ever champion.”
[With that said the bathroom door opens and out comes Crystal who grabs some clothes and heads back into the bathroom moments later you hear water from the shower as Chris continues to speak.]
Kaladaro: “Now while my partner from the last show Burrell is complaining about who started PPW I can only be ecstatic and the reason being is because I finally have a shot at the one title that has eluded me my entire career. You see I can go on and on about all the titles that I have won but the fact of the matter is that they don’t mean shit to me anymore. I am focused on one thing and one thing only and that is being the PPW Champion and not only that the first one ever because there are a lot of bragging rights to go along with that.”
[Kaladaro pauses and grabs a nearby tin of Grizzly Wintergreen he opens it and puts in a wad of it and then reaches over and grabs a nearby bottle to spit in. He spits out a big amount of tobacco juice before continuing to speak.]
Kaladaro: “Now it would see as though I don’t have to worry to much about Demetrius in this match because he is so worried about who started Pure Pro Wrestling that I hope that he forgets about the matter at hand and what is really important.”
[With that said Kaladaro hears the water from the shower shut off moments later Crystal comes out with her Jet black hair glistening and her body wrapped in a towel she looks at him and then rolls her eyes.]
Kaladaro: “What was that for?”
Crystal: “I thought that you were going to quit that shit babe.”
Kaladaro: “I am trying its not as easy as you may think though.”
Crystal: “Yeah it is if you run out don’t buy another one.”
Kaladaro: “It’s not that damn easy like I said I will quit its just going to take some time.”
Crystal: “Okay baby I believe you.”
Kaladaro: “Thank you.”
Crystal: “Your welcome.”
[With that said Crystal leans over and kisses Kaladaro on the cheek. She turns around and her towel drops and you get a clear shot of her ass before she heads back into the bathroom to get dressed. Kaladaro sits there stunned for a minute before regaining his thoughts and continuing to speak.]
Kaladaro: “Alright so now on to the other guys that are in this match. You know I honestly am happy that Dusty Griffith failed to advance to the scramble match because with him being the winner of Summer Games last year I am not sure if I could beat him. However the remaining four guys that I haven’t yet mentioned are as follows Corvus, Big Bad Cortez, Aaron “Chico” Vasquez, and JJ Halme. Now I have to admit that they should consider themselves lucky because I know nothing about them and that with that alone they have a chance to beat me. However that chance is very slim because like I said before I have never won a world championship and I’ll be damned if it continues after this match.”
[After saying that last remark Crystal comes out of the bathroom wearing a white tank top and blue jeans. Kaladaro looks at her with wide eyes before continuing to speak.]
Kaladaro: What the hell woman? Why are you wearing that when you know that it is colder than shit outside.”
[Crystal looks at him with a gaze before replying to what he just said.]
Crystal: “Who are you to complain besides I know you like it so shut your mouth.”
[Kaladaro is rendered speechless as Crystal goes over to the bed and looks for the remote she removes the covers from the bed and its not there and then she reaches under the bed to feel for it. During this Chris can’t help but check out her ass as she reaches for the remote and pulls it out from under the bed.]
Crystal: “How the hell did this get under the bed.”
Kaladaro: “Well it was kind of crazy in here last night.”
[Crystal laughs]
Crystal: “Your right it was.”
[Crystal turns on the television as Chris gets an irritated look on his face.]
Kaladaro: “Do you mind?”
Crystal: “No not at all. By the way while I was in the bathroom I heard you say that because the four others in the match don’t know anything about you that they have a chance to beat you.”
Kaladaro: “Yeah so what. I am just being honest for once.”
Crystal: “Well with an attitude like that you probably don’t deserve to win.”
Kaladaro: “Are you kidding me right now.”
Crystal: “I am just saying.”
Kaladaro: “Well your wrong.”
Crystal: “I’m Sorry.”
Kaladaro: “Its okay babe.”
[Kaladaro takes out the wad of chewing tobacco before continuing to speak.]
Kaladaro: “Now I will leave you with my final words to all five of you I hope that you bring everything you have into this match. Because when not if I beat you all and walk away from the match PPW champion I don’t want anyone to have any excuses as to why I won the match. That’s all I have to say at this moment hit the road cameraman.”
[With that said Kaladaro gets up and walks over to the bed and lays down next to Crystal and wraps his left arm around her.]

"Americans have too much to say. We Finns are much simpler. We speak with our actions."
Fade in from darkness and JJ Halme sits on a bench. A towel draped over his lap is the only article of clothing on his body. Sweat reflects the dim light on the wall next him. A few pieces of birch leaves stuck to his skin here and there. A Vihta rests in a bucket of water at his feet. This is a traditional Finnish sauna.
"You can't move at all without some prying eyes or pesky questions being thrown to you. Like this idiot at last show. I have no answers to give about my plans. If I was to tell them, they would not be my plans."
He speaks this in reference to Donnie Walters question in passing after his match with Griffith last week. A question that went by unanswered other than a smart remark from Halme's.... Associate? Leena Saari. Very suspicious circumstances.
"The best advice I can give to American fans of PPW is to watch. Watch and weep, because I promise you, you're not going to like it."
He cracks a sinister grin at the camera. He reaches over for the dipper, submerging it in the bucket. He pulls it and quickly shoots the water over the heated rocks, sending steam rising to the top of the room. He grabs the vihta from the bucket and proceeds to slap against his back as we fade on the scene.

Is over-confidence the shield used by those who are insecure?
Over-confidence is often linked to denial.
This type of behavior seems to be very prevalent in today's wrestling world, and is practiced by many of the industry's top stars. The rhetorical question would be, why?
It's as if we must be constantly reminding ourselves of our worth, hoping that it spurs confidence within us? Although Aaron Vasquez's emergance in the world of professional wrestling is still young, he has already crossed paths with so many personality types, that he's liable to be considered an expert.
It just seems as though every week and every challenge includes an opponent who swears to be superior, until they've picked themselves up off the mat after a blistering beating at the hands of the leader of the QB:K9's. There has to come a time where the proper credit is given, where it is deserved.
January, 2009 would be the most optimal time to start.
Walk with me.
~-~-~
The wrestling world is now well aware that Aaron "Chico" Vasquez has returned to the world of proffesional wrestling with a fury. His previous stint was memorable, yet didn't yield any championships. Vasquez was recognized for his toughness, his unpredictability and his abrasive behavior above anything else. This time, he has vowed to change the public's perception of him.
This change will not be as intrinsic as many of you might think. This change is derived from Chico's urge to be recognized as one of this industry's very best - and with that comes victories, with that, comes championships. Sure, the merciless beatings and berating's shall continue - but they will no longer be the defining point in this man's career.
Furthermore, Vasquez pushed for two of his associates to get their "break" on the independant wrestling scene - so to further the reputation that the K9's had been building for years on the streets of Queensbridge. The QB:K9's are becoming evermore present in today's wrestling game, and they appear to have kicked off their shoes, and plan to stay awhile.
While Papes and Lukey stand behind their leader, awaiting their opportunity - Aaron Vasquez is set to put himself and their crew on the map. The process started on December 6th when Vasquez claimed his first single's championship of his career. Currently, he is recognized as the A.C.W's Cruiserweight champion.
That accomplishment in itself is worthy of great praise. However, that is just the beginning of what is to come. On the weekend of January 3rd and 4th, Aaron Vasquez looks to add two more pieces of gold to his collection.
First, he is to travel to Miami Florida, and put his Cruiserweight Championship on-the-line in a Unification bout, with current Television Champion Cap'n Carnage.
The following evening, Vasquez has the opportunity that has been one year in the making. Not since his Pacific Northwest Championship bout with Dusty Griffith in Wrestle Coast: Cascadia has Vasquez had the ability to claim a promotion's top championship. In the popular independant company; Pure Pro Wrestling - Chico is one of six men to have the chance to walk away as the centerpiece of that promotion.
The opportunity to be recognized as the top competitor in any wrestling federation is an honor that should be cherished. These types of opportunities don't come along all too often, so when they do, there is that incentive to make 'good'.
Both of these matches have alot more in common than the championship's that are on-the-line. Cap'n Carnage is notorious for 'tooting' his own horn every chance he gets, which coincides with the theory of denial.
Chris Kaladaro went on record, claiming that he hoped to run into the "easier" opponent in the six man match up; claiming that both Aaron Vasquez and J.J Halme were inferior to Dusty Griffith. Well, I've got news for you.
In North America, without Aaron Vasquez, there is no Dusty Griffith.
[Fade up.]
[We open up in front of a QB:K9 Banner.]
[Standing in front, is Blake Samuels, who is always in the mix when it comes to the K9's. Not bad for a young man who was fetching coffee for Darren Keebler, before Vasquez scooped him up. Samuels continues to be the most outspoken of the K9 camp.]
[On the far left, is Lukey Luck. Lukey stands with his arms folded, and biceps bluging. Tattoos cover his torso, and his dark shades cover any expression his eyes might be giving. He appears to stand about two hundred and fifty pounds, and is the "muscle" of the crew.]
[On the far right, stands Papes with a cell phone to his ear, and a wad of twenty's in his hand. It's clear that this youngster is the 'flash' of the group in more ways than one. Flashy inside, flashy outside.]
[In the middle, with the A.C.W Cruiserweight Championship slung over his shoulder, is the leader of the QB:K9's, Aaron "Chico" Vasquez. A snarl crosses the young fighter's lips, as he lets out a deep growl, before barking a little bit into the camera lenz.]
[Blake Samuels is gracious enough to start the promo for us.]
BS: "There is no better time than now to put us on the map. While many of you will be bringing in the New Year with party favors and champagne - my doggs will be howling at the moon, as they train rigorously for this upcoming weekend."
"It's time's like this that we dream of, when we enter the business. The opportunity to headline a show, and have the ability to be recognized as a champion when the night concludes."
[Samuels looks over to Papes, who seems more interested in the 'shawty' he's spittin' game to, than the promo that his crew is cutting.]
BS: "Papes is a team player. He sacraficed his debut in Pure Pro Wrestling, to give Chico better odds at securing a spot in the finals. And, just as planned, Chico gets the victory, and is now in line to become champion once again."
[We catch Vasquez glaring down at his championship. He nods his head, but not enough to take focus away from Samuels, who continues his flow.]
BS: "You need loyalty from your soldiers, and that's exactly what that was. Of course it made things a little sweeter that it was Dusty Griffith who was forced into the two on one confrontation. As you all know, the history between Chico and Griffith is definitely newsworthy, and far from over in my estimation. There's just no way that these two won't collide once again."
"The fact of the matter is, Dusty Griffith has accomplished quite a bit in North America - but he definitely owes a debt of gratitude to my client. Without Aaron Vasquez, Dusty Griffith isn't the man you see today... he knows it, and we know it"
[Vasquez pipes up.]
AV: "S' jus like ma cracka mang said, wif out me, ju ain' shit son. Who ju tink dem folks wanna see, ju? Naw, dey comin' out da wood work t' get a glimpsss of j'or boy."
"Jus' last j'yeeer, ju wuz screamin' fo' j'or life - cuz ju wuz dealin' wit dis... muthaphucka's rushed da set t' help ju n' shit. Funny sonny, how peepulz f'get dat shit. Riotz, closin' mothaphuckas down n' shit, real quick... "
"Ju dun know we'z got bizness t' deal wit, n' s'gon' happen f' real."
[Vasquez squeezes his index finger, mimicking a trigger being pulled.]
AV: "But dat shi gon' hafta wait, son. Imma 'bout t' git dis scrill, n' be da boss playa up in hyeeeer. Dis nigga real good at trowin' muthaphucka' 'round, out da ring, whereva...dey gon' fly like dey had wingz, ya hurd?"
"Dem punk bitchez who dun unda-estimatin' dis nigga, gon' pay. Headlinah? Ju on some next bullshit, ya feel me? Talkin' greezy like ju ill, but ju just sof' like dem otha fools. Soft like-a marshmellow, like ju wuz cotton candy kikko..."
"Imma be shore t' blista ju up, smash j'or grill...n' lafff."
[We catch Lukey, looking real shady right there. Lukey is sure to stand close to Chico, as if he's guarding the crown jewel.]
BS: "This is the opportunity that we've been waiting for, and I'm confident that Chico is going to make good, and become the first PPW Heavyweight Champion."
[Samuels pauses.]
BS: "And to conclude an already joyous weekend, we're going to make it two for two, and bring home a third championship, when we bust Mr. Carnage, and his holier than thou bullshit attitude. Trust me, you have yet to encounter anyone of this calibre, so be prepared. And if you doubt me, just ask Stardust..."
[The entire crew breaks out into a chuckle.]
BS: "I'm sure Stardust would be happy to share is personal experience with you. You know, how he went on record claiming he would destroy Vasquez... how he wasn't worth anything... you know, the usual. I'm sure that's the approach you'll take, as it seems to be the trend when it comes to guys "like you"...
"Save your breath, and say some eloquent. Something that gives us chills... perhaps places doubt into our minds. That's my challenge for you, sir."
[Vasquez finishes the promo, as he always does.... viciously.]
AV: "It's gon' be alotta pop pop, bang bang, skeet skeet, muthaphucka. Ju jus' in da wrong place kiiiid...Imma take dat shine, n' den imma ride it out, 'til I collapse."
"Real talk, s'bout to get real grimey, n' some ov y'all soft mothaphucka'z need t' find a place t' hide. Dem real niggaz 'bout t' hit tha spot, n' we ain't playin' second place f' noone..."
[Vasquez gives the death stare - the type that would make Rampage Jackson proud.]
[Papes finally is more attentive the promo, and shouts from the background.]
Papes: "Yeeeeeeaaaaahhhh BOOOOOOOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII"
[Cut.]
[Fade out.]

We set our scene in a gym. More specifically in the free weights section. You want more pinpoint accuracy? Putting up 350 at the bench press with the ease of tearing the hair off a chemo patient. Yeah, I went there.
Here is Jukka, better known to the American audience as JJ Halme. Leena Saari is off in the background doing her own thing in the cardio section. She is easily tracked due to the surprising lack of attendance in the local gym today. But this isn’t about her, this is about JJ. Oh yeah, and the man sitting next to him. His face unable to be seen, but this is Finland. In other words, he has long blond hair hanging half way down to his ass. He seems to be the one doing all of the talking.
“JJ, I know your path right now. I know it very well. A fairly young and beyond talented individual with a real mind for success. I mean, being a Finn says it enough. Sisu, it’s in our blood.”
JJ briefly takes his focus off the weight bar in front of him to glance at the stranger. He grunts and continues on.
“OK, so I’m not exactly a full Finn, but I damn sure have the heritage. More than that, I damn sure have the mind of a Finn. Strength to overcome any obstacle while maintaining integrity.”
JJ has a smirk growing at the corner of his lips now.
“OK, so maybe the integrity part wasn’t always my strong point, but victory damn sure was. It doesn’t matter anyway. I’m here to talk about whatever it is you have worked out in PPW. Oh yeah, PPW! Across the Atlantic and smack in the center of the Northern United States. I know all about what you’re in. Well, maybe not all.”
JJ rolls his eyes as the stranger continues on.
“Look, JJ I’m not going to beg for the information I want. I’m just not that guy. But I am going to ask, for the sake of preparation. Derek Shanahan is somebody I know on a fairly personal level. He’s the protégé of an old friend of mine. But beyond a certain contract that’s out there, my colleague and I are in the dark about his plans with the place. So, naturally, we’re trying to find out if we’re being set up. So, are you going to tell me what I want to know?”
JJ drops the bar onto the holder. His body is a sweaty and swollen mass of muscle. Breathing like a wild animal he sits up and looks at the floor for a moment. One deep breath later he’s making eye contact with out stranger. A house of fire lies within his iris’.
“I know exactly who you are. I have nothing to say to you. You, and everybody inside PPW just has to wait.”
“That’s fine JJ. That’s just fine. But you should know. It was because of me they even know about you.”
JJ’s face goes unchanged by the revelation.
“In that case, tell that asshole everything is in order here.”
“Good to hear, that’s all I needed.”
The stranger stands up and extends a hand to JJ. JJ’s eyes still locked on the stranger’s. He glances once at the hand before standing up and walking off towards Leena, snatching up a towel along the way.
“Great talking with you JJ!”
He mutters one last sentence somewhat under his breath as he turns towards the camera. His hair and a hand obstruct most of his face as he slides on a pair of black Oakleys.
“See you soon.”

Big Bad Cortez: It was the first time I had been away from Miami, on the road, alone. It’s hard. When you had a brother that was always there, when you have your friends and for the first time you decide to head out into the world alone, it’s a scary place even for someone my size. Yet I managed to win my match on my own and I am going to be fighting for the PPW Heavyweight Championship and it’s going to be hard, I have no support right now.
(It was another one of those express hotels. It’s the first time he was even out of the city limits, and being a Cuban-American outside of Florida is like entering a totally different country. Hell, on the way to his room, one of the people attempted to pay him for some room service. Big Bad Cortez almost had to crush some skulls, but he’s not a violent person. Instead he just laughs, pretended he was Mexican and moved on towards his room. Big Bad Cortez remembered hearing the dumb ass complain to the hotel management and sadly Cortez thinks one of the actual workers got in trouble for his little act.)
(Cortez drops his bags down at the floor before dropping upon the bed, leading to the legs buckling and breaking. The entire bed crashes to the floor. Cortez shakes his head, not believing he just did that. Meanwhile, he kicks his feet upon to the bed before wondering what to do. This is not Miami, this is some unknown city. With no one he knows living in it. No knowledge of what to do on such a night. Hell, he didn’t even know where’s a gym is located. He really should find some internet café so he can look this shit up.)
(His cell phone rings in the pocket. It’s a number unknown to him. Big Bad Cortez pulls it out of his pocket before answering.)
Big Bad Cortez: Hello?
Unfamiliar Woman: Hey there. You Eddie’s brother?
Big Bad Cortez: Yes, who is this? Are you one of Eddie’s friends?
Unfamiliar Woman: Oh… yes, one of the many. I heard you nearby and Eddie is afraid about you being out on your own and all.
Big Bad Cortez: I’m a grown man. I can take care of myself.
Unfamiliar Woman: He says he typically watches over you. He says you are pretty lost if you’re on your own.
Big Bad Cortez: I can find my own way though life.
Unfamiliar Woman: I’m still sure you must be bored. You know no one, right? Maybe you should think about coming to this bar that I own. Maybe we can get together and chat, and I can introduce you to some of my friends.
Big Bad Cortez: I don’t know…
Unfamiliar Woman: Eddie also told me you were pretty shy. Come on, have a little fun. What the worse can it do?
Big Bad Cortez: I guess so…
Unfamiliar Woman: Name’s Sandra, nice to meet you. You’re at the Ridge Hotel; I’ll have a friend pick you up. Don’t be too rude to him, he’s a grumpy son of a bitch.
Big Bad Cortez: I’ll be waiting. Sandra: I’ll see you later.
Big Bad Cortez: Later…
(A few minutes later…)
(Cortez stands outside the hotel, his black t-shirt was warm enough for him in this slightly chilly weather. A black sedan pulls up to the curb, the window rolls down and there’s a man with a buzzcut and a pair of sunglasses looking right at him. He holds up a picture before bringing it down.)
Stranger: Mr. Cortez?
Big Bad Cortez: Yes.
Stranger: Get in. I’m Lucas; I’ll be taking you to Sandra.
Big Bad Cortez: Alright, just as long as you all know I have to be back by nine tomorrow morning. Have to do some research.
Lucas: Oh… Mr. Cortez, don’t worry about that.
(Cortez climbs into the back of the car and the car pulls away. Though the downtown districts, they travel to a very lively dance club. Bounces are standing outside, one of them even the size of him. It’s a rarity to see someone his size. Lucas takes the car into the alleyway and to a hidden back parking lot, blocked by a gate. The gate automatically opens and Lucas pulls.)
Lucas: She’s waiting in side.
Big Bad Cortez: Thanks for the ride.
(Cortez moves out, there several expensive sports cars parked as well as a limo. Cortez moves towards the back door and immediately walks into a very long hallway. Cortez slowly moves down, the music almost deafening and Cortez isn’t even in the main part of the club. He moves past an opened down. Cortez peeks into the room and sees a tall woman, standing there with flowing black hair and pale skin. Two men, almost as big as Cortez, sit down with couple of drinks in their hands.)
Woman: Mr. Cortez, it’s good that you make it. I’m Sandra. Take a seat.
Big Bad Cortez: Nice to meet you in person. Thanks for inviting me out.
Sandra: Oh no… thank you for visiting me.
(Cortez takes a seat. One of the men stands up, before shutting the door. Cortez looks around, noticing the mood of the room wasn’t that all laid back, but serious. The other stand too but walks behind Cortez and within a second, he feels the cold sensation of metal upon the back of his head. Cortez goes to jump but Sandra places her high heel boot upon his chest. A nice view though up her skirt, but Cortez was more concerned with the gun to the back of his head.)
Sandra: Don’t move, Mr. Cortez. It’s just we have some business to do with you. You see, your brother has found himself in debt with us and since he seems to like to think he’s invincible down in Miami… we’re going to pass it out onto you, the brother. So we won’t hurt you. I promise. As long as you do what you are told.
Big Bad Cortez: What are you talking about? Who are you guys?
Sandra: Let’s just leave that alone. It’s best for you not to know who we are. For the sake of both of us. Let’s just say we are old friends of your brother.
Big Bad Cortez: I don’t believe you. My brother wouldn’t’ deal with your type. He’s a D-
Sandra: He’s a district attorney. Don’t kid yourself. If it wasn’t for us, he would have never been ADA. We pulled many strings for him, and we also keep his addiction at bay.
Big Bad Cortez: I don’t fucking believe you.
Sandra: Don’t. It still doesn’t change the fact we could have you killed right here and right now. Now if you want to come away from this, unscathed…. Then you are going to just have to play along and do what I tell you to do.
Big Bad Cortez: And what’s that?
Sandra: It’s come to our attention that you’re working for a professional wrestling company, and I know you won’t make so much in the beginning as it appears not to be the biggest promotion yet but there is still chance that you can come to the possession of decent amount of cash fairly quickly.
Big Bad Cortez: Let me guess, you’re going to make me give you all that I make in the ring just to pay off some debt you supposedly have my brother owing you. Bullshit. I need that money to survive.
Sandra: We don’t want all of it, we want payments. It will come with interest, but don’t worry… it will be enough to keep my bosses satisfied for awhile until I can come up with a better way to get out of this mess, that won’t leave you or your brother in the streets dead. I’ll like to collect the money without having to stain my hands. Do you understand, Mr. Cortez?
(Big Bad Cortez shakes his head. There is nothing he could do about this. Whoever this bitch is, Cortez knows she has more than enough connections and ways to have him dead and his body never be found. He’s not happy about having to give a part of his paycheck away, yet there’s nothing he can do until he figures out what exactly is going on. His brother Eddie wouldn’t come close to being involved with this.)
Sandra: Glad we have come to this understanding. Drop your weapon. He doesn’t seem to be the stupid type.
Big Bad Cortez: Can I go now?
Sandra: Oh, I just am hoping you would stay for a drink or two. On me of course. I don’t want to kick you out of the door with impolite manners.
(Cortez nods. At least these are not the same type of monsters that he’s used to dealing with down in his neighborhood. This group is more sophisticated and appears to be more professional than the Haitians. Cortez decides to stay, maybe he will learn a thing or two about these bill collectors.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene opens up once again in his hotel room. The camera is directly on him. His face is a little flushed from the amount of liquor he consumed that night. The window is open, letting in a breeze to cool him down. Cortez looks back at the camera, standing up straight.)
Big Bad Cortez: Already in my short career do I have a chance to walk away as a champion. Not any type of champion, but I have a chance to win the PPW Heavyweight Championship belt. It’s not small feat. I have to overcome veterans in the ring. I have to make sure I don’t create any opportunities for them to jeopardize my chances. But I’m not too concerned. I know I can win. Rookie I might be, but that’s nothing to stop me. I’m a physical specimen. I’m stronger than anyone in that ring, and even though I am a big man, I can still move fairly gracefully enough. I know strength is not the only factor that decides a match but it’s an advantage I know how to use. I plan on using it. Yet don’t be foolish, I’m not going to overly depend on my natural abilities but what my training has given me.
(Cortez leans over the bed. His fist slammed down upon the bed. He knows he needs the money. He needs more to satisfy his pride by winning, but he needs to start paying off his brother’s debt.)
Big Bad Cortez: So far, I all have heard in this match is people stating how they’re going to win. How they just want to see themselves having their arms raised in the air, and be crowned champion. Yet it’s quite obvious… everyone knows that everyone else wants that title just as much. It’s foolish to think not. What makes you all special? Just because you want the belt, you all think you can just have it… because you want it? Want means jack shit. It’s who is able to walk away with the win that gets it. Stop being so god self-centered, all of you… are a little more aware of your settings, of your opponents’ motives, and their strategies. Even a big oaf like me knows that, but it seems that all of you have had your head slammed onto the canvas too many times to realize it.
Look at who we are facing… my tag team partner, Corvus… who has fallen immensely from where he used to be. I did my research and I was surprised that the same man that I fought with, that did little to nothing to help seal the win, had been top level champion in other promotions… but where was he last show? He was nowhere. He didn’t even lend a hand and he’s standing there, with the same opportunity as me? Bullshit. It doesn’t matter. Corvus won’t be a factor. He’s a shell of a man. Something has happened to his fighting spirit and he’s not going to be able to do any damage in this match.
So fear not, Demetrius… or should I say Fury. I know you two have had a history, but both of your golden days are gone. This is not Wrestling Midwest. This is not two or three years ago. This is the present. You too have changed. You have a stronger head but a weaker body. I have respect for you, man and I know you’re still dangerous but it seems that you’re off too busy wondering why the brother of your lover kept you in the dark than actually sitting there, preparing for this match. You think because of what you have done in the past means you can just waltz right into that ring and say ‘king me’. Of anyone in this match, you should know it’s not the case. It’s far from that case.
Then you have Chris here. The only thing he really headlines is the History channel. Thank you Chris for the recap, you really scare me with that monotone voice. I mean, talk about getting into the mind of your opponents… you put me to sleep. Is that your plan? To lull me into a deep slumber in the ring and sneak the pin on me. Well, I’m sorry but the cure to you is simple… a redbull and I’ll keep on fighting.
(Cortez laughs slightly, taking a break from speaking. His accent wasn’t exactly thick but you could tell it was there. Even for a man you would guess be a moron, he seems to be quite the talker.)
Big Bad Cortez: Well, I know each of you is capable of wining outside of Corvus. I do just not like feeling as if I was used by Corvus just to get in this match. I’ll teach him his lesson the ring, and shows him he might need to consider an early retirement. My advice to all of you is not to underestimate me. I might be young. I might be considered a rookie but I’m still dangerous… one mistake, I’ll go in for the kill and it will end your dreams of being champion while only securing my place at the top.

“It was like a dream come true, I went out to the ring with all the camera's going off from the many pictures that where being snapped. I sat there at the entrance way for a few moments just to take it all in before I made the long walk down the entrance ramp and into the ring. I made my way inside the ring, and right then and there I knew I was in for one hell of a fight. Five other guys stood in front of my, they where the road blocks that where keeping me from becoming the first PPW Champion. Chris Kaladaro, J.J. Halme, Corvus, Aaron Vasquez and Big Bad Cortez. All stood in my way but somehow I was able to pull out the victory and become the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion. I should be on cloud nine I should feel like nothing can touch me but something just doesn't feel right, maybe it's the way Shanny acted when he handed me the title. Whatever it is I need to just let it go for right now cause I am on the top of the world once again baby. “The Main Attraction” has finally arrived.”
(We with a shot of Demetrius Burrell in his locker room he has the PPW Title draped over his lap and a towel around his neck, Tasha walks over to Demetrius kissing him on the cheek and then rubbing the title with her right hand.)
“Baby I am so proud of you”
(Demetrius smirks as he now takes his hand and runs it over the front plate of the title.)
“Baby I really didn't think I was going to be able to pull it out. I mean every single one of those guys had the same drive I did, and somehow i am the one that walked out with the title. It truly is a blessing if I do say so myself.”
(Tasha nods as she sits down next to Demetrius.)
“You know what babe I just really wished that Derek was a lot happier when I won the strap, he kinda acted like he didn't want to give it to me.”
“ Babe, I bet it was the heat of the moment that's all I really wouldn't look into it that much.”
(Demetrius rolls his eyes then let's out a long sigh.)
“Don't give me that Tasha, you had to nudge him on the shoulder for him to hand the title over, so there really is nothing you can say to explain your brothers actions, I understand he is your brother but I think I deserve some fucking answers.
(Tasha slowly puts her and on Demetrius's neck and begins to rub it, he looks at her and lets out a half ass smile.)
“Dee I am pretty sure when the time is right my brother will let you know all the details It has to be extremely stressful running a company you know.”
(Demetrius nods in agreement while Tasha still rubs his neck ever so gently.)
“I have no doubts about that babe, but why in the hell would he give me the cold shoulder, you would think he would be happy that someone who he knows is reliable walked away with the PPW title.”
[Demetrius move over]
(Demetrius looks down at the PPW title and smiles.)
“Derek knows that I have been waiting for a moment like this for sometime and for him to give me the cold shoulder kinda hurt a bit. I didn't expect him to react this way. Maybe it's cause I'm not his number one poster boy Calib Wallace. Maybe that is why he seemed so reluctant and disappointed”
(Tasha goes from giving Demetrius a nice neck message to smacking him in the back of the head. Demetrius turns and gives her the what the fuck look.)
“Now your just being stupid, you need to for one stop acting like your still in Calib's shadow. He is retired he isn't even in the damn company so let it go.
(Demetrius rolls his eyes once again which causes Tasha to hit him in the back of the head again.)
“ Seriously Dee, Calib has nothing to do with anything anymore. I am sure my brother just has a lot on his plate right now I'm sure once he gets everything settled and all that good shit he is going to call out and ask you out for drinks or something to celebrate your win.”
“Meh, I'm not to sure of that one. I've been close to your brother for years now and I know when he is himself and when he isn't and he is not acting like himself, he is acting like a shady prick that needs to get knocked down a bit.”
(Tasha frowns, as she grabs Demetrius's chin turning his face slightly to the right so that they are meeting eye to eye.)
“Regardless baby of what's happening you need to focus on the now you are the PPW Champion, your once again on top and right now the only person in the whole company that can stop you is yourself, you need to let go of all that self doubt you have worked up inside of you. And all of the lack of trust you have for people you just need to let it go baby, your on top and that's all that matters.”
(Demetrius smiles as he puckers up to give Tasha a kiss he moves in to lay one on here but she places a finger on his lips. Denying him access to hers.)
“Are you done worrying about things that really shouldn't matter right now?”
(Demetrius shakes his head yes franticly like a kid who's parents just asked him if he would like a PS3 or a X-Box 360.)
“Ok, good then I guess I can let you give me a kiss.”
[Now your laughing what in the hell is wrong with you?]
(Demetrius leans inches his way towards Tasha again, he can almost taste the cherry lip balm she uses when she once again puts a finger up.)
“Are you done thinking that my brother is against you?
(Demetrius pulls back and raises an eye brow.)
“Are you done with all these dumb ass questions Tasha?”
(Tasha winks then bats her eyes playfully.)
“As long as your done thinking about every single negative thing you can think of.
(Demetrius simply shakes his head.)
[Damn it Demetrius if you kick me one last time I swear.]
“ Yeah I suppose I am done thinking about some of that shit but it is still going to keep running through my head why Derek did me like that.”
[Alright that's it.]
BOOM..........
OUCH........
FUCKING A.....
(All of a sudden we see Demetrius laying on the floor Tasha is on the bed looking down at him as he looks up at her in pain.)
“What the hell was that for?”
(Tasha lets out a chuckle.)
“Whatever it was you where dreaming about better be good cause you kept throwing fist and kicking in your sleep.”
(Demetrius lets out a moan as he stands up, he rubs his back and then sits on the bed, Tasha looks at him with a huge smile on her face.)
“So what the hell where you dreaming about, that got you thrown out of bed?”
(Demetrius smiles.)
“For the most part it was a pretty good fucking dream, Let's just say I dreamt I won the scramble six match and walked away with the Pure Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.”
(Tasha smiles and then kisses Demetrius on the forehead.)
“What was all in the dream hun?”
“It was nothing babe, all I will say is that the best parts of the dream where that you where there by my side when I won the title and well that I won the title. The rest is just some typical worry shit nothing to stress about.”
(Demetrius leans forward giving Tasha a kiss on the lips.)
“Let's just hope my dream comes true babe and I walk out of the Scramble Six the champion. It's a new year and I see nothing but big things for “The Main Attraction” in 2009.”

“The stage is set for one hell of a main event at the January 4, 2009 show and at that show PPW will crown its first ever Pure Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. What a way for them to kick off the new year as Chris Kaladaro steps into the ring against five formidable opponents on his quest to do what he has yet to do in the wrestling industry become world heavyweight champion. However doing this wont be easy as there are five other guys involved in this match that would like just as much to achieve the same goal that Kaladaro is trying to capture.” [The scene starts at the same hotel that we last saw Chris Kaladaro and his girlfriend Crystal at. Chris is gathering some things as Crystal is frantically trying to get ready she goes into the bathroom and shuts the door behind her as Kaladaro keeps doing what he is doing he puts on a long black leather jacket and then scrambles to find his keys. The bed is a mess from the night before as well as the rest of the room Kaladaro looks all over and then lifts some of the sheets off of the bed and just after that his keys drop on the mattress Kaladaro picks them up.
Chris Kaladaro: “You ready babe.”
Crystal: “Yeah almost.”
Kaladaro: “Well hurry up.”
Crystal: “Will you just be patient for once in your life.”
[With that said the bathroom door opens and out steps Crystal who gives Chris a kiss on the lips, he smiles and then grabs her right hand with his left and opens the door with his right as they leave shutting the door behind him. Outside they both walk to their rental car and Chris unlocks it with the button on his keys Crystal gets to the passenger door first opening it and getting in shutting the door behind her. Chris shakes his head before getting to the driver’s side door and opening it. He gets into the car and closes the door and starts it, he then puts the car into reverse and drives off.]
[Inside the car Kaladaro is driving and Crystal is looking out of the passenger side window. Kaladaro glances over at Crystal for a moment before turning his head back to focus on the road.]
Kaladaro: “Crystal babe is there something wrong.”
Crystal: “No nothings wrong it’s just…”
Kaladaro: “Just what come on you know you can tell me anything.”
Crystal: “Well I was just going to say that maybe it wasn’t a good idea for you to bring me on the road with you after all.”
Kaladaro: “Why is that my dear.”
Crystal: “Well I thought it would bring us closer but it seems that ever since you decided to bring me with you that things haven’t been the same its like were drifting apart even though we spend all our time together.”
Kaladaro: “I don’t see that happening at all babe, you know I love you and I thought bringing you on the road was the best thing at the time so I did what I thought I had to do and what I thought you wanted.”
Crystal: “Oh okay I suppose your right there I go worrying again.”
Kaladaro: “You know what worrying does to you and where it gets you right.”
Crystal: “Yeah babe nowhere.”
Kaladaro: “Exactly so can you please just let it go and enjoy this. After all I really don’t need this now considering the big match that I have coming up. I mean think about it babe if I win this match then it will not only change my life forever but yours as well and don’t you want that for both of us?” Crystal: “You know I do.”
Kaladaro: “Okay then please stop worrying.”
Crystal: “Fair enough.”
Kaladaro: “Now that, that is over and out of the way there is some things I need to get off of my chest about my match on January 4th. You see in case you haven’t been paying attention and if you haven’t shame on you I have the biggest match coming up this Sunday as I step into the ring against five other wrestlers for the opportunity to become the first ever Pure Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion. Now my opponents in this match are no laughing matter and I respect each and every one of them to some extent. The fact of the matter is that once that bell rings the respect that I have for these men won’t mean a damn thing, at least not till the bell at the end of the match sounds.”
[Kaladaro pauses and glances over at Crystal who is just starring at him and smiling he smiles back and then continues to speak.]
Kaladaro: “Now the men in this match with me are as follows: "Main Attraction" Demetrius Burrell, Corvus, Big Bad Cortez, Aaron "Chico" Vasquez, and J.J. Halme. Now like I said before each of these men have something great to bring to the table but the fact of the matter is that all of their drive and determination can’t compare with mine. Hell even if you combined all of that and compared it to mine you still wouldn’t be able to. Wrestling is what I was meant to do from the day that I was born and I have always said that anyone who isn’t in this business to become a world heavyweight champion is in it for the wrong reasons and should get out. So for the sake of the five men that I am in the ring with this Sunday I hope that they have the same attitude about this match as I do.
Crystal: “Your right about that one babe, and with me in your corner…
Kaladaro: “What?”
Crystal: “I said with me in your corner.”
Kaladaro: “I hate to break this to you babe but you can’t be in my corner for this match.”
Crystal: “Why the hell not?”
Kaladaro: “It’s to dangerous I don’t know if any of these guys would try to do anything to you physically but I just can’t take that risk. I need to have complete concentration for this match and with you out there with me I won’t be able to do that. I hope you understand.”
Crystal: “Well I do but that doesn’t mean that I am okay with it.”
Kaladaro: “Just this once babe then when I am champion you can come to the ring with me all you want hell you can even come into the ring and congratulate me when I win the belt.”
Crystal: “Okay that’s fine I can live with that.”
Kaladaro: “Thank you for understanding. Oh there’s just one more thing.”
[Kaladaro reaches into his front coat pocket and pulls out what appears to be a ticket and hands it to Crystal.]
Crystal: “What’s this?”
Kaladaro: “Just look at it and you’ll see.”
[Crystal looks at the paper that Kaladaro handed to her.]
Kaladaro: “It’s a front row ticket to the show this Sunday, just because I don’t want you to be in my corner doesn’t mean that I don’t want you there.”
Crystal: “Where did you get this? I thought tickets to this weeks Sunday Night Showdown were sold out.”
Kaladaro: “Well they are but I pulled some strings and was able to get one for you.”
Crystal: “Thanks babe.”
[Crystal leans over and kisses Kaladaro on the cheek as Kaladaro smiles.]
Kaladaro: “Now that all of that is settled there is just one thing left to do and that is wait patiently until after Sunday Night Showdown when I will be your new PPW Champion.”
[With that said Kaladaro pulls up to the arena where Pure Pro Wrestling’s Sunday Night Showdown is scheduled to take place tomorrow night. Chris gets out of the car and opens his trunk and pulls out a black pull behind suitcase as Crystal reaches into the backseat to get Chris his black duffel bag. She hands Chris the bag as he slings it over his left shoulder and then grabs the pull behind with his right hand. He then holds his left hand out to Crystal as she slams the trunk shut and locks the car doors. She then grabs Chris’ hand and they both head off towards the arena in order to prepare for tomorrow night.]
[Fade.]
